Sixties music remains as popular as ever with hit movies like 'Nowhere Boy' about the early life of John Lennon plus countless songs continually used on TV commercials to sell everything from orange juice to mobile phones.
The media landscape has also been affected by our own million selling Dreamboats and Petticoats series and Musical.
The nostalgia for the period plus the introduction of this music to a younger audience is fantastic.
February 22nd sees the release of The Solid Silver 60s Greatest Hits Vol 2 released to coincide with the 25th Anniversary Tour promoted by The Flying Music Group Ltd.
Over the 25 years the concert tour has grown and grown including many of the artists featured on the album.
This Spring artists on the tour include The Troggs,The Swinging Blue Jeans, Vanity Fare, Brian Poole and Mike Pender, the original voice of the Searchers.
Volume One sold nearly 80k in the UK and with classics from Gerry and The Pacemakers,Tom Jones, Procul Harum, David Bowie and The Walker Brothers this album is set to repeat it's success.
